Herpes Medication Makes It Worse

The last full week. Last full weekend. Montreal

Le lundi soir post-montréalais se fait récupérateur pour entamer une semaine délicieuse, aussi délicieuse que la dernière drop of beer, as delicious as the last cupcake.

Tuesday afternoon, the whole staff is gathered for breakfast Atoutfrancien at Benoit, a French restaurant in midtown chicchic. The champagne flows and treats will follow the French, duck, foie gras, logs and meringues ... And then it's time for the opening of the Secret Santa gift, a moment that ends almost two months of cachoteries. The principle is simple: each name is drawn at random from a colleague and must be her Secret Santa. Rather spoiled, I get a pretty scarf and mittens to face the few winter days in New York I have left.

Tuesday evening, Sarah and I are moving to our headquarters preferred. We have one last appointment at the Apple Store Soho to meet Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant in promo for their latest film Did you hear about The Morgan (which looks like a stew hardly describable ). So superficial. Uninteresting and not funny. Well, at least they will have seen in real life. Hophop, it is assumed to be consoled Century 21 our latest gifts and looking ...

Wednesday evening, Liliane took me dinner in a small Venezuelan restaurant that just opened a block from home. We share the tapas and arepas reviewing these last six months lived next to one another. It was a success and I'm already thinking about that again in six months?

Thursday afternoon, how does Jean-Philippe Perol we rang in the office of the press? Aaaah, a little farewell party with cupcakes buttercup bakery and the prosecco, so adorable ...

Thursday evening, Sarah has unearthed a cocktail party organized for the inauguration of the Empire State Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, newly renovated to the tune of $ 12 million. We have small badges with our names and wide-eyed in front buffets. THEY are not kidding us. Seriously. Sushi, grilled prawns, small salads, classic toast with salmon, pumpkin ravioli, you name it ... We grabbed our cosmo and go see the room in question at the center of which we are still waiting for dessert. Phew. Some business cards collected and a cosmo too later, we head on the Upper East Side, to say goodbye ... Melissa Bye, bye Eduardo.

Friday night I decided to join my friends in New York for a small going-away party. It is nice to see everyone again. And Sarah makes me turn the greatest gift, a small book filled with memories of girls, in words and pictures.

Saturday, the belated awakening coincides with the beginning of a whole day dressed flakes. The brunch begins an afternoon loquesque very significant. We watch the snow fall in two. In the evening, Liliane took me to a major event organized by our colleagues in Martinique, Sung Christmas! the French alliance. So cold outside and so hot at home, everybody sings songs in Creole and waddling juggling his booklet of lyrics and a glass of tiponch. Jessica and Cristel and celebs are leading the troupe of singers apprentices intoxicated by the good mood.

End Sunday brunch last Sunday with the staff intern France Trump, Sarah, Al, Seb and Eugene, we had not seen for almost chandeliers. See you all at the Cafe Orlin on St. Marks place, jumping over puddles of melting snow under a bright winter sun. Sarah and I are going to buy a crate mandarin Wholefoods in Union Square to make the Christmas party for Greg. We join Rob, Ashley and Shannon in the Lower East Side to get into a big car that takes us to Bushwick, a Brooklyn neighborhood. As a small family on vacation, we watch the sunset over the beautiful green from Williamsburg Bridge. Greg is waiting for us in his great brooklynien loft hot with delicious food and an atmosphere of year-end all sweet. Sarah confirms his theory that all Americans know as shuffling cards in casinos, and organize a workshop candles mandarins during a quarter of an hour, reversing the balance of history and for once, what impresses me is the Americans.

Yes I'm French. I'm leaving in Three Days. Goal I'll be back.
